The story
Years of waiting, then four weeks to walking
Steven Parker arrived in Bangkok in July 2026 in severe pain. Years of right knee osteoarthritis had left him struggling to walk more than a few steps, and back home in the UK a long NHS waiting list offered no end in sight.
After finding Medidash Global online, Steven got in touch and heard back the same day. Within days everything was arranged: the hospital, the surgeon, the hotel and the airport transfers. Alex, our founder, met Steven personally at Bangkok airport and stayed by his side through the whole process.
On 14 July 2026, Steven had a total knee replacement at Thailand's dedicated bone and joint hospital in Bangkok, a JCI accredited orthopaedic specialist centre. The surgery went exactly to plan.
At his follow up appointment on 17 August, just four weeks after surgery, Steven was walking noticeably better. He filmed a message for anyone still sitting on a waiting list back home.
