I cannot recommend this company and its director Alexander Watt highly enough. I was in a situation in the UK where I couldn’t walk 5ft, upon seeing my consultant I was advised it would be a year before I could have knee replacement surgery and as someone who lived alone that was never going to meet my circumstances.

I then decided that as my time and health were so precious to me that I was going to look overseas for recommendations for knee replacement surgery.

On searching the internet I found an advert for Medidash Global. A company that found suitable hospitals in Thailand that met my needs.

On making contact I received a telephone call from their director Alexander Watt. He advised me of what was available and the variance in costs depending on my needs and my cash flow. A suitable hospital was agreed, KDMS, the top orthopaedic hospital in Thailand. I could have surgery within 48 hours of any arrival in Bangkok. The decision was made and I traveled to Thailand and was met at the airport by Alexander (a wonderful and pleasant gentleman). I was transported in luxury to a hotel local to the hospital, booked in and then transported to the hospital for pre surgery tests. These were completed satisfactorily. Arrangement’s were made for me to return to the hospital next day where the surgery took place.

In all this time I was supported by the Medidash Director Alexander who ensured that any extra needs not part of the hospital were met. On discharge from the hospital Alexander collected me and transported me back to my hotel.

All the time I was recuperating he kept regular contact and again supported me on my return to the hospital a couple of weeks later for a check up.

I cannot express enough how brilliant the service from Medidash Global and the Hospital KDMS has been. It’s now four weeks since my surgery and I am walking without any disability aids and am driving normally.

I would thoroughly recommend anyone in a similar situation to just ‘go for it’ in the knowledge that you are going to be fully supported throughout your experience and also fit enough to enjoy this wonderful country.

I had Alex help me coordinate a colonoscopy in Bangkok. Excellent coordination, excellent communication and excellent follow thru. Alex speaks English as a first language as well as (obviously) Thai, German and Arabic. He is knowledgeable, trustworthy and kind. I can recommend him completely.

Alexander Watt was instrumental in setting up a medical appointment for me. I recently traveled to the US for a routine annual check up. Upon returning to Bangkok, I learned that the US doctor wanted some additional reviews completed. I provided him with the specific follow up recommendation I received from my US doctor and he coordinated everything with the Phyathai 2 Hospital and medical staff. I received the exact care in Bangkok that my US doctor recommended.

Back in the USA, I had to cancel a July appointment because of business travel and was told the next available was in March. In Bangkok, a friend told me that it was still possible to get a next-day dermatology appointment; “Just contact Alex.”

Alex scheduled my appointment and handled registration. He met me at the hospital entrance. After I arrived, I decided to get my teeth cleaned and checked. Done. “Oh, maybe...” He scheduled two additional appointments. While waiting, I decided to just do the whole “Summer Delight for two” another day and cancelled.

For ~$1000 US for both of us, a friend and I received comprehensive bloodwork, gender-specific testing including mammograms, multiple x-rays and ultrasounds, a basic physical and a review of all results. I received printouts and a CD with my imaging.

Alex arranged all of that on 12-hrs notice provided on a Sunday. Again, Alex scheduled everything and facilitated registration. He assisted with the redundant billing resulting from my abrupt cancellation of two appointments. This would have taken many calendar months, and at least 30-40 hours of active involvement on my part, to complete in the USA. And I was done five hours.

Other invaluable services Medidash provides are: translation, escort to the various departments, and, if requested, even transportation to and from a nearby hotel.

Medidash provides these services at no cost to the clients, receiving a commission from the providers instead. It’s easy to be skeptical, wondering whether one will be overcharged. I was charged exactly what the price sheets at the hospital advertised. And the services I received would have cost the entirety of my max out-of-pocket at home with insurance, some of which would have been denied, and, without insurance at least an order of magnitude more. I didn’t plan ahead and it still happened. Honestly, it’s worth a trip to Bangkok. Spend a bit of time and money on medical care and use what you save to cover your airfare and vacation enjoying this vibrant city.

A friend put me in contact with Alexander Watt when I expressed an interest in getting some neurological tests done at Bumrungrad Hospital while on a five day visit to Bangkok. I wasn’t hopeful given that I was only giving a few days notice. However, Alex was able to find appointment options with two highly qualified specialists. I chose the doctor that I felt was the best match. Alex handled my registration with the hospital. Communication and coordination to organise the appointment was seamless. On the day things also went smoothly and I was very happy with the consultation I received. Highly recommended.

Being in a foreign country and having medical issues can be scary. It was wonderful to have help setting up appointments with the hospital and hotel reservations. Alex was amazing guiding me through my appointments and if a problem came up, he was right there dealing with it. He even helped get me a ride back to my hotel when the free shuttle had stopped for the evening. I would highly recommend using this service and especially Alex.
